Anatomy of a rat

For science illustration we had to improve upon an existing illustration that was poorly done. Im not going to trash someones work here on my blog but here is my recreation of the anatomy of a rat. So cute!!!

WIP Whats in the Bread

Very early version of this, its going to improve, but more fun with Corel!

Playing with Corel Painter X3

Its been a while! Sorry all! Heres a little playing I did with a past dino work and Corel, which is AWESOME

Watercolor Gentleman

My handsome man as a model for practice studies

Mini comic day! Gary the Unicorn

You have all seen Gary before in past works, here he is going for a stroll. Apparently I live in a world of dangerous animals :3

Minicomic! Bad Cat

Based on true events starring Castor my terrible kitten. For Mini Comic day at the Cartoon Art Museum! Just pictures from the fancy phone, I'll scan them one of these days

Boring Room Hw

So we were given a picture of a boring room to decorate. I went with taxidermy. It needs some work but still struggling with the crow quill

Illustration 1- Betta Splenden

A the other half of the rat inking project!! We had to pick 2 animals with different textures so here is the other half if my favorites! Again with the crow quill and ink.. Which I spilled half of all over my bag....

History, Panting, Field Trip and so much more!

Such an exciting day on the blog! I hope everyone has had a fantastic Thanksgiving, for those who celebrate. those who don't, your missing out ;) Anyways, I started by carving a lino block, the smallest I ever have! and may have injured my thumb doing it, but who cares? its art. Its supposed to be a Betta, but what ever.

 2x3 inches!

On Monday in heads and hands we went to a retirement community to draw the old folks. it was way better then it sounds. this was a super rad independent living place with a huge emphasis on art. I did pretty terribly but had a lot of fun and made "Alice" laugh so hard!! They were really great people.

In still life painting, I missed another week :/ But for the holiday. Heres what went on today!! The light one with the blue bottles. Shot glasses will need to be worked on in the future... The paper crane one was my homework, which I have been touching up, and will post pictures of soon!

Lastly, my silly little mind map for art history comparing the Venus of Willendorf and a Madonna

Sketchbook and Heads & Hands

More homework for my heads and hands class, and a WIP (work in progress) of an inclass thing Im working on. Nothing terribly exciting, except my handsome male models lips :)

Both are just black and white, its crazy how the charcoal can look like flesh tone sometimes

Sketchbook! Panda's and more

Some shots from my sketchbook! Neck and jaw drawings with my fabulous male friend as a model. Also practicing drawing panda's for a future project, and a guest shot!!

Robopanda by Steve

And some thumbnails for my digital media class, plus we had to make a signature and make paths and what not... :) Thanks for your time!

Sketchbook Fun!

I think Im going to update with some of my sketchbook work from time to time, so heres a little installment! We are practicing hands in Heads and Hands... Go figure
