Still Life Painting

So here are the still life paintings from this week! The top is a make up for a day I missed. My teacher says its uninteresting and needs to tell a story-

Then inclass we worked on low key, so here is mine. Frank thinks its my best piece yet-

Character Designs

A character design sheet for class, pretty rad!!

History, Panting, Field Trip and so much more!

Such an exciting day on the blog! I hope everyone has had a fantastic Thanksgiving, for those who celebrate. those who don't, your missing out ;) Anyways, I started by carving a lino block, the smallest I ever have! and may have injured my thumb doing it, but who cares? its art. Its supposed to be a Betta, but what ever.

 2x3 inches!

On Monday in heads and hands we went to a retirement community to draw the old folks. it was way better then it sounds. this was a super rad independent living place with a huge emphasis on art. I did pretty terribly but had a lot of fun and made "Alice" laugh so hard!! They were really great people.

In still life painting, I missed another week :/ But for the holiday. Heres what went on today!! The light one with the blue bottles. Shot glasses will need to be worked on in the future... The paper crane one was my homework, which I have been touching up, and will post pictures of soon!

Lastly, my silly little mind map for art history comparing the Venus of Willendorf and a Madonna

Robot Panda Printable!

So my first printable!! Kong the Robot Panda!! I got the template from a teacher for a project and decided to share it with you all. simply download, print, cut and paste! Enjoy all!!

Schools begun again

Fall is in the air and school has started for me again at the Academy! Heres a little bit of the first week-

Atmospheric Perspective

The unfinished work of a lazy art student, lol. Atmospheric Perspective work. Someone elses cartoon we got to color :) More working coming, Im just super tired right now. If you read my main blog, Untidy Venus, you know I had a busy weekend ;)

Midterm- Contrast Self Portrait

Ugh, midterms. This super annoying time in school cannot be denied. Oh well. He he! This is my project, not the best work I've ever done, but cool looking still. The goal of this assignment is to take contrasting colors (purple and yellow) black and white, and create a value and saturation scale to render a self portrait. I HATE self portraits. I look funny. Oh well, I like to make people laugh ;)

Ill post the finished piece soon! But Douche already said it was to "acid" looking. ok, I like saturation (color). You never said we couldnt use saturation (color). This IS COLOR and design.

Messy Workspace

Color and Design- Grey Scales

So spent most of last week building grey scales, heres a bad shot of some of my swatches... which I had to do a second time.

We are working in gauche, which is opaque water color. Its really vibrant and interesting but expensive as hell!! I'll post my assignment and the color wheel we are working on this week, asap :) happy creating!

Perspective Reflective

So my idea of posting daily never happened. Turns out this life thing keeps getting in the way? Reality of the number one cause of stress :) anywho, here are some pieces from last semester's course in Perspective

Sorry about the low quality pictures :)
